IN STUDIO WITH FASHION AND AN UMBRELLA

Winter has me working in my studio space more than I enjoy, so things must be made interesting. I had been talking with a model on Instagram (The Jewish Mermaid) and we had decided we’d like to work together but, we had no concept. Then – just before New Years Eve she posted a selfie of her outfit.  That was the look.  We decided on a date and got my favorite H/MUA – Samantha Trionfo .  As luck would have it – I was cleaning out the garage – and found an old umbrella (clear). Bingo.

The day of the shoot – I decided to use 1 constant light source and we began to play.

I hope you enjoy the end result.wALDSC_0900.jpg

ICOSA APPAREL

I have had the pleasure of working with the people of this incredible company – Icosa Apparel.  https://www.icosaapparel.com  and all the photography on their website and look book are my images. Please check them out at the above link.  The product of women’s leggings, tees and dresses are fabulous.

CHIKARA MOTH

Heather aka Chikara Moth,  https://modelsociety.com/Model/chikara-moth?fbclid=IwAR1y37CpUzjCqCw3q_TiuyfRxBI2uiseYqIH0SL5T4g4dr2PL2Xv4fYT8no   dropped by the studio a month ago and we played with some fun studio lighting and saran wrap. Heather made a saran wrap dress – with a color collar. I played with 5 point lighting, 3 strobes one around the side and two in front one farther back than the other, daylight and some overhead fluorescent light.

RING LIGHT

I recently got to play a little while with a constant ring light in a small studio setting at Creative Labs in Baltimore, MD    http://www.createbmore.com   The image is one of the ones I considered to be most successful – a nice soft even light.  I found like many other photographers that the reflection of the ring light in the eye is quite annoying and a tad bit difficult to remove in Photoshop. The model for my test was Danielle, one of the studio’s regulars. Shot with my Nikon D800 – the only light was the  https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1398777-REG/neewer_10088612_18_ring_light_with.html constant ring lamp.wDDDSC_9267.jpg
