Over the summer, model and fashion designer Stacy Stube and I did a series of images with vintage dresses. Shooting around Baltimore, Maryland. Part of the goal was to have the images be vintage in style. This is one of the black and whites – taken in the Mt. Washington section of town just feet away from the Washington Monument.
I’m going to say it – “I’m a photographer and I love high contrast.” This image is from a year ago; it was my first shoot with Jehanne de Champvallon, a French model, photographer and writer https://500px.com/jehannedechampvallon https://www.instagram.com/jehannedechampvallon/?hl=en https://www.amazon.com/Jehanne-de-Champvallon/e/B004NAGG0G We wanted to shoot something haunting. With some luck we got some very interesting clouds on a warm summer Sunday. We met at the top of a parking garage in Annapolis, MD. I used my Nikon D800 with a Nikon 300mm lens from a very low angle. Tip: when shooting with black and white in mind never use the black and white setting on the camera, you lose vital information to the image. The high extra contrast and black and white was added in Adobe Lightroom.
